This plant's leaves look like a painter was designing the perfect indoor accent plant for a coffee table or office. As a member of the prayer plant family, these plants create excitement beyond just their crazy leaf patterns. Watch carefully as the leaves move throughout the day - they'll be in a different position every time you look.
Calathea White Star is a coveted Calathea plant for the passionate collector. Ideal conditions include a bright indirect light conditions and high humidity levels. For optimal growth, water your indoor plant when the top inch of the soil has dried.
As an additional care tip, we recommend potting your Calathea in a well draining soil blend within a pot with drainage holes. This step will help to protect your plant from root rot.
Calathea can be a bit tougher to care for in comparison to your typical houseplant. However, the key to your White Star Plant's happiness is replicating the its natural habitat. This means utilizing distilled or rainwater in place of tap water and keeping your plant's environment consistently warm and humid.
Common issues with the Calathea Majestica White Star usually stem from issues of watering and lighting needs. If you are confident that you are properly meeting these needs, but your plant is exhibiting yellowing leaves, you may want to check your plant for spider mites.
