Transform your outdoor space with the serene beauty of the Siam Jasmine. This exquisite water lily features pristine white blooms that add a touch of elegance to any pond or water garden. This hardy water lily was hybridised by Pairat Songpanich.
Planting and Care:
- Soil: Any top soil without cocopeat mix is suitable, though clayey soil is most preferable for optimal growth. Detailed planting & care guidelines are included with the plant. Please refer to the knowledge base & FAQ’s for more details.
- Water: Avoid hard water. Potable water like tap or borewell water is perfect for this lily.
- Sunlight: This is a 100% outdoor plant that thrives with a minimum of 5 hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight daily.
- Pot/Container: Use pots or containers with a minimum diameter of 30 inches and a height of 15 to 18 inches. Fiber, plastic, or concrete containers are ideal as they retain some heat, which these plants require.
- Pest and Disease Control: Keep an eye out for common water lily pests like aphids or snails. These can be treated with appropriate organic or chemical controls, following manufacturer guidelines. Regularly inspect the leaves for signs of disease and take action as needed.
- Winter Dormancy: In colder Indian regions, the Siam Jasmine may enter a period of dormancy during winter. Reduce watering and fertilization during this time.
- Pruning: Remove any dead or decaying leaves to maintain the plant's health and aesthetic appeal.
Enjoy the captivating blooms and lush foliage of the Siam Jasmine with minimal effort, and create a tranquil haven in your outdoor space.
