Anthurium radicans
Anthurium radicans is a compact, crawling species known for its deeply textured, bullate leaves that resemble emerald green alligator skin. Each leaf is thick and glossy with dramatic veining and a rippled surface, giving it a uniquely sculptural quality. This ground-hugging epiphyte stays low and spreads slowly, making it a striking choice for tabletops, terrariums, or grouped with other tropical foliage.
Native to the rainforest understory, it thrives in warm, humid conditions and rewards attentive care with bold, leathery leaves that only improve with age.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid harsh sun which may scorch the leaves
• Water: Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings; avoid overwatering to prevent rot
• Humidity: High humidity preferred, regular misting
• Considerations: Appreciates warm and steady conditions. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants.
Please note: Photos are representative of the plants available; each plant is naturally unique.
