Cultivar or ssp. of streptocarpa.

This lovely little species (HR9183) was collected by the Hromadniks in 1982 at Santiago de Chicitos, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, about 800m. Plants have been imported to Australia on several occasions. Lieselotte sells them as T. streptocarpa Sukk grun or Sukk weiss ( translated as succulent green or white) and intends some day to formally describe them under the ICBN rules. These sorts of names cannot be recorded under the ICNCP rules as being special forms or Cultivars. The best name to use is undoubtedly ‘Chicitos’. The white lepidote form as ‘Weiss’ form, and ‘Grun’ form for the greener less lepidote one. It is hoped that growers will use this name rather than plain T. streptocarpa which as we know comes in many guises."

Tillandsia streptocarpa can sometimes be mistaken for a small Tillandsia duratii. An easy way to tell the two apart is that the leaves of Tillandsia streptocarpa are not pendulous (hang down) when they get older. Also, the tips of the older leaves do not recurve. The blooms are very large relative to the size of the plant which is normally 20-30 cm in an adult and they are fragrant. This species is also similar to Tillandsia reichenbachii but the leaves are much longer and softer.

Good but a bit overpriced
Pattern Name: Half Ears (15-pack)
I like these as they are a good size and not as greasy as others. I have 4 dogs that get one each evening. It would be nice if they were a bit cheaper.

Apparently delicious to dogs!
Pattern Name: Half Ears (15-pack)
Bought these hoping they wouldn't be too large for my 10 lb. dog, and found that she loves them so much it doesn't matter that she can't finish one all at once. I think they are her favorite treat, and can last her days, so it is a great deal both for her, and for my wallet! (she also doesn't get them more than once every week or two!)

Chew that pig ear doggie
Pattern Name: Half Ears (15-pack)
These are halves of pig ears. My little dachshund doesn't need the entire ear. Half is much better size. And still we break the halves in half. She loves them. Helps clean her teeth while she is chewing and destressing. I would recommend to other dog owners.

So nice I ordered a second bag!
Pattern Name: Full Ears (25-pack)
I can’t say that ordering this brand has always been a success. I was ordering half ears. Then one bag came without an expiration date and they didn’t look so good. The next time I bought two of the smaller bags instead. Those ears seemed too small. Mostly OK though. Expiration date on the bag. But this last purchase of full ears looks really good. Expiration date on the package is 12/26. We are nearing the middle of May. So I ordered another bag. My piano teacher (weekly lesson) has two big, tough, but sweet dogs. They watch for me to come up the walk and wait at the door for their pig’s ears 🙂. Thanks! Update: second bag has September 2027 expiration date. Beautiful ears. Delivered next day and I don’t even have Prime. 🙂. Thanks!

AWESOME HEALTHY DENTAL TREATS for any dog.
Pattern Name: Half Ears (40-pack)
THESE ARE AWESOME!! Though I need to cut these pig ears with an industrial pair of sheers (cutting scissors), my three 6 lb Chihuahuas LOVE these treats. It also keeps them busy chewing so daddy can get some work done. They are most importantly great for cleaning my dogs tiny Chihuahua teeth. 😁😉. These are a MUST BUY for anyone seeking a healthy, affordable, teeth-cleaning option for any size dog.
