The Anthurium is an essential indoor plant, prized for its colorful, waxy spathes that resemble natural plastic. Native to tropical regions, this plant adds a touch of exotic elegance and architectural structure to any living space, while remaining one of the world's longest-lasting cut flowers.
Characteristics
- Foliage: Dark green, heart-shaped, leathery, and highly glossy.
- Bloom: Waxy spathes (red, pink, or white) surrounding a central spadix. Blooms intermittently year-round under optimal conditions.
- Light: Prefers bright indirect light. Low light will reduce blooming, while direct sunlight will scorch the leaves.
- Habit & Growth: Upright and bushy habit. Moderate growth rate, reaching 45 to 60 cm (18-24 in) in height.
- Humidity: Prefers high ambient humidity. Enjoys regular misting or being placed near a humidifier.
- Soil: Requires rich but very porous and well-draining soil (indoor mix amended with bark or perlite).
- Temperature: Thrives between 18°C and 25°C. Sensitive to cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
- Watering: Let the top 2-3 cm of soil dry out between waterings. Never allow water to sit in the saucer.
Usage
- Tabletop Decor: Ideal as a focal point on a dining table or desk.
- Tropical Vibe: Perfect for adding color and texture to a collection of green plants.
- Health: Known for its air-purifying properties in living areas.
Maintenance
- Fertilization: Apply a phosphorus-rich fertilizer (such as 15-30-15) every two weeks from spring to fall to support blooming.
- Pruning: Trim faded flowers and yellowed leaves at the base with clean tools to encourage new growth.
- Repotting: Repot every 2 years in the spring into a slightly larger pot with drainage holes.
- Propagation: Easily propagated by dividing clumps during spring repotting.

Very Comfortable but NOT As Expected for Multiple Reasons
Size: Queen, Color: Teal
I purchased my first Briarwood Home Jersey Queen Sheets June 2018 and was very pleased with the quality and how comfortable they are. The 2nd set I recently received (Oct. 2019) is VERY inferior compared to the first set. So inferior I would consider them defective. The fitted sheet is very very small and "barely" fits on my standard queen mattress regardless of which way I turn it. This was not an issue with 1st set. I have to really pull hard in order to get it to fit over my standard queen mattress. Luckily I don't have a pillow top mattress otherwise it probably would not fit at all. Plus, it's so tight the fitted sheet does not tuck under the mattress. Very surprised since the 1st set I have had no issues. Also, the flat sheet is MUCH smaller compared to first set. only about 3" hangs over side of mattress where other flat sheet hangs almost to bottom of box spring. Minor observation; the 1st set had a Briarwood Home tag on outside of pillow cases. The 2nd set does not have that tag. I also want to add that these seem thinner than the first set since I can see mattress cover through them and pillow case cover,,, but the translucent appearance could be because the 2nd set is white and the 1st set was teal. Overall VERY disappointed. I was going to order a grey set but WILL NOT due to these issues. I did email the Briarwood Home customer service today and hope they offer a resolution. NOTE: The customer service phone number goes straight to voicemail and then states the mailbox is full. This is the 2nd time I tried calling with same results so your only option is to send an email. I find that to be suspicious. I will update when I hear back,,, or don't hear back. UPDATE 2-13-2020: NEVER RECEIVED RESPONSE FROM BRIARWOOD. I WILL NEVER ORDER SHEETS FROM BRIARWOOD AGAIN. INSTEAD, SINCE THE 2ND SET OF BRIARWOOD SHEETS BARELY FIT MY STD. QUEEN BED I ORDERED ANOTHER SET OF QUEEN JERSEY COTTON SHEETS FROM: Road Trip America Cozy, T-Shirt Soft 100% Organic Cotton Jersey Knit, GOTS-Certified, Solid Color Bed Sheet Set (White, Queen). They have not arrived but I will provide a review after I receive them.

Soft but they shrink
Size: King, Color: Blue Chambray
Super comfy and soft but the shrink easily and even with stretching dont cover the whole mattress. Still really like the sheets just wish they had deeper pockets/sides to help with shrinking.

COMFY and Great for Temperature Control
As an mature aged female, these sheets are great for being comfortable enough to feel and stay soft, while keeping body temperature regulated.
I like these, compared to slick sheets.

My favorite sheet! High quality, thick, comfortable woven jersey cotton
Size: Queen, Color: 06 - Sand
I love these sheets! They feel like your very favorite tee shirt, but better! Thicker and softer! I love that these are organic. I stock several of these sheets as i love them so much. The tan color is very neutral and close to the color of my organic mattress, and I like to use these sheets as an extra layer over the mattress cover, as these are easy to wash and dry.
