Cuphea ‘Sweet Talk Lavender’ is a compact, mounding plant prized for its abundant tubular lavender-purple flowers that bloom continuously from spring through fall. The flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds and pollinators. Its dense, green foliage forms a tidy mound, making it a versatile choice for garden designs. This variety is heat tolerant and performs well in hot, sunny locations.

Grow Zone:
USDA Zones 9–11. Grown as an annual in cooler zones.

Height and Width:
Typically grows 12–18 Inches tall and 18–24 Inches wide.

Uses:
Excellent for borders, containers, mass plantings, and pollinator gardens. Performs well in patio pots and sunny landscape beds, especially where continuous color and wildlife attraction are desired.

Native Range:
Cuphea species are native to the Americas, especially Mexico and Central America. ‘Sweet Talk Lavender’ is a cultivated hybrid.

Sun Requirements:
Prefers full sun but will tolerate light shade. Best flower production occurs with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

Water Requirements:
Requires regular watering to establish but is somewhat drought tolerant once mature. Grows best in well-drained soil with consistent moisture, especially during hot or dry periods. Avoid overwatering or soggy soil conditions.

Shade of color is off a bit….

I ordered two blankets to replace the queen size blanket I had originally, one being a throw blanket for the chase portion of the couch and the larger twin size blanket for the back rest of the couch. The sizes work perfectly together giving good coverage for such a large couch. I haven’t had any issues with shedding which was my concern. Washability seems easy enough. I’m gonna have to be careful with the drying process as to not damage the synthetic fibers. CONS: the color…. It’s not what was advertised at all. I ordered the brown/grey. what I got was more of a SANDY TAN/DARK GREY. (They use a color filter on the example photos which doesn’t translate well in person) At first I hated the color but it slowly grew on me! Works well with the rest of the living room decor and gives our space a cozy elegant vibe. I included photos of different times throughout the day to showcase how different lighting affects the color of the fur.
