Introducing the Sedum aurora, also known as the Pink Jelly bean plant, which is a beautiful variety of Sedum rubrotinctum (Jelly bean plant). Native to Mexico, this popular variety is named Aurora because of its stunning pink and green foliage.
The Pink Jellybean succulent has plump, jelly bean-shaped leaves that are a vibrant pink color when exposed to direct sunlight. As the leaves mature, they gradually turn green, creating a beautiful contrast. The plant itself is low-growing and forms dense, cascading clusters, making it perfect for hanging baskets or rock gardens.
With trailing stems, the Sedum aurora can grow up to 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
So, it's a great choice if you're looking for a compact succulent to add to your collection.
The flowers of Sedum aurora bloom with small, star-shaped yellow flowers during the spring and summer months.
These flowers add a lovely touch of color to the Sedum aurora succulent and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Sedums require minimal attention and thrive in less hospitable areas. The pink jellybean plant is a versatile and easy-to-care-for succulent that thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. With well-drained succulent soil, it prefers infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Your pink jelly bean succulent thrives in warm indoor temperatures between 65-80°F, with slightly cooler temperatures at night. When growing outdoors, it is suitable in USDA zones 9-11.
To maintain its health, use balanced NPK fertilizer during the growing season and trim any leggy or elongated growth to maintain a compact shape. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Regular pruning is essential to maintaining the plant's appearance and health.
As for pink jellybean succulent propagation, it can be easily propagated through stem cuttings or by separating the offsets, which are the smaller plants that grow around the base of the main plant. You can simply remove these offsets and plant them in well-draining soil, and they'll develop into new plants.
We think you will love this plant – order your very own Sedum rubrotinctum aurora pink jellybean succulent today and start enjoying its beauty in no time!
