This distinctive species, represents an exceptional choice for enthusiasts and lovers of exotic plants with its remarkable dark, glossy foliage.
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, mimicking its natural epiphytic habitat. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
- Temperature: Thrives in warm and consistent temperatures between 18-25°C (64-77°F). Protect from cold drafts.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity levels, ideally 60-80%, to maintain the glossy leaf surface and prevent browning.
- Watering: Keep the potting mix consistently moist but well-draining. Allow slight drying between waterings to prevent root rot.
Additional Notes
Foliage Characteristics: The leaves are heart-shaped with a remarkably glossy, almost mirror-like surface that appears nearly black in certain lighting. Prominent parallel veins create a beautiful ribbed pattern, and the leaves maintain an upright growth habit with excellent structural integrity.
