🌞 Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Tolerates medium light but develops best leaf shapes in stronger filtered light. Avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf burn.
💧 Water & Humidity
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering. Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%); mist occasionally or use a humidifier for lush, healthy growth.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Plant in a well-draining aroid mix with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Repot every 1–2 years in spring when roots begin to fill the pot to maintain healthy, vigorous growth.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Keep out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Fast grower under optimal conditions. Easily propagated via stem cuttings with aerial roots in water or sphagnum moss during spring and summer to expand your collection.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Rotate regularly to encourage even growth. Wipe leaves monthly to remove dust and promote photosynthesis. Fertilise monthly in spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertiliser.
🐛 Common Issues
Yellowing leaves usually indicate overwatering. Watch for spider mites or thrips in dry air; treat infestations promptly with neem oil and maintain humidity.
🧬 Botanical Background
