Electric Lime Foliage with Signature Prayer Plant Movement
Maranta leuconeura ‘Lemon Lime’, commonly known as the Lemon Lime Prayer Plant, is a bold tropical houseplant prized for its vibrant chartreuse foliage and graphic dark green feathering. Bright yellow-green veins illuminate each leaf, creating a striking contrast that instantly energizes indoor spaces.

Ed’s Care Guide
Care Level: Moderate
Light: Prefers bright to medium indirect light. Can tolerate lower light, though vibrant coloring may soften.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch to partially dry before watering. Use filtered or room-temperature water to prevent leaf spotting.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50%+). Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or near a humidifier.
Temperature: 60–85°F. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.
Soil: Light, airy mix with peat and perlite for good drainage.
Feeding: Fertilize every 2 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted water-soluble fertilizer.
Pruning: Remove yellowing or damaged leaves at the base to encourage fresh growth.
Propagation: Easily propagated via stem cuttings with nodes.
Common Pests: Spider mites are most common; monitor regularly.
Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans and pets.
A Bright Accent for Modern Interiors
The Lemon Lime Maranta thrives in humid, filtered-light environments similar to its native Brazilian rainforest floor. When given proper care, it forms a lush, low-growing mat of electric foliage that brings color and softness to minimalist or tropical-inspired spaces alike.
Whether styled in a decorative planter or allowed to cascade from a shelf, this prayer plant delivers bold color with manageable care requirements.
