The Gold Capella is the showpiece of the Schefflera family — each glossy leaflet is splashed with vivid yellow and gold variegation that transforms an already lush floor plant into something genuinely eye-catching. If you love the easy-going nature of the Dwarf Umbrella Tree but want a plant with real visual drama, this variegated cultivar delivers it in abundance.
Key Features
- Striking yellow-gold variegation on every leaf — far more decorative than the standard green form
- Dense, umbrella-shaped leaf clusters create a full, tropical canopy effect
- Hardy and low-maintenance — tolerates a range of indoor light levels and occasional missed waterings
- Available in two heights: 0.9–1.0 m and 1.1–1.2 m to suit your space
- Naturally bushy growth requires minimal pruning to maintain a well-rounded form
Why It Works in Dubai
Like all Schefflera arboricola varieties, Gold Capella handles the dry air of air-conditioned UAE homes without complaint. It thrives in the bright indirect light typical of Dubai apartments and villas, and the consistent indoor warmth actually helps maintain its vivid variegation year-round. Place it near a window for the best colour display.
Care Snapshot
Light: bright indirect light for best variegation; tolerates medium light
Water: every 7–10 days, allow top soil to dry between waterings
Humidity: average indoor humidity; no special requirements
