With its exotic, bird-wing-like leaves and distinctive reddish stems, Philodendron 'Florida Green' is a true plant collection pride. This fast-growing and climbing indoor plant will bring immediate liveliness and an "urban jungle" feeling to your interior. It is a great gift for those who want an easy-to-care-for, yet visually striking and rarer green companion.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
☀️ Light: Loves a bright spot with strong but diffused light. Protect from direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves, but too much shade will slow its growth.
-
💧 Watering: Moderate. Allow the top layer of soil (about 2-3 cm) to dry out between waterings. Philodendrons dislike standing in water ("wet feet"), so good drainage is important.
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A tropical plant that appreciates warmth and higher air moisture. Regular misting helps new leaves unfurl more easily and keeps them shiny.
-
🐾 Pets: Not friendly. The plant contains calcium oxalates, which are toxic to cats and dogs if eaten.
🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM
-
Bright living room: Will feel ideal in a place where it can climb upwards over time on a coir pole.
-
Bathroom with a window: The moist air will be very pleasing to this plant.
-
Office desk: While the plant is still young and compact, it will be a great air-purifying companion at the workplace.
