Flowers typically bloom in spring to early summer on strong, leafless stems. Each stem produces clusters of white spidery flowers, up to 10 flowers per stem, for a showy floral display.
The Variegated Spider Lily should be planted in rich soil in 2-gallon containers, and may have up to 6 inches of pond water over their crown. Once planted, place in sun to partial shade. If planted in moist marshy conditions, it may form a colony with its runners. The Variegated Spider Lily may reach up to 24" high with a spread of 12". Divide clumps after flowering or start from seed in warm water. In northern zones, winter indoors as a houseplant. Zones 7-11.
