Pothos (Epipremnum aureum), commonly known as Devil's Ivy, thrives indoors and is prized for its trailing vines and air-purifying qualities. It can tolerate low light conditions but grows best in bright, indirect light.
Care Tips
- Pothos is low-maintenance and can thrive in various light conditions.
- Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.
- Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
- Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Pruning helps maintain a bushy appearance and can be done as needed to control growth.
Uses
Pothos is a popular choice for indoor decoration due to its trailing vines, making it suitable for hanging baskets or climbing on supports. Its air-purifying abilities make it a beneficial addition to any indoor space.
Planting Tips
- Plant Pothos in well-draining soil in a container with drainage holes.
- Position in an area with bright, indirect light for optimal growth.
- Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, allowing excess water to drain.
