Botanical name - philodendron scandens 'brasil'

Origin - humid regions of Southeast Asia

You'll be happy to hear that I'm a easy care, hard to kill kind of lady!

Bright Indirect Light

I thrive in areas of bright indirect light. But please keep me away from harsh direct sunlight as this will scorch my leaves. If you put me in a darker spot I will be more prone to root rot and overwatering problems. Although I will tolerate it change your watering habits accordingly.

Infrequent Watering

Allow the top third of the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Why not pop your finger in to check the moisture level. If you've put me in a darker spot allow half of my soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot occurring.

Care Tips

Average room humidity is great for me. Be careful not to mist me too much as it can build up mildew and cause rot.

Root rot is the most common problem. If you suspect this, you may see yellowing leaves, then it could be that my soil is waterlogged. Why not carefully take me out of my pot and inspect the roots. If they are yellow tinged and looking good then I'm doing well. If you find they are brown and mushy we have a problem.

Fun Facts

I can trail or climb. You can use sticky picture hooks to promote longer vines and make a wall feature of me. Why not give it a go.

Banana Boat Sport Kids Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 Oxybenzone-Free 2 pack
Sun protection factor: 50 Sun Protection Factor (SPF), Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 2)
Reliable, Kid-Friendly Protection with a Few Minor Drawbacks I’ve been using the Banana Boat Sport Kids Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 Oxybenzone-Free Twin Pack for several weeks now, and overall, it’s been a dependable and convenient sunscreen option for my children. As a parent, I’m always looking for products that are both safe and effective, and this sunscreen largely delivers on both fronts. One of the biggest advantages of this sunscreen is its oxybenzone-free formula. With growing awareness about potentially harmful sunscreen ingredients, I appreciate that this product avoids oxybenzone and opts for a safer formulation. It gives me greater peace of mind, especially when my kids are swimming in natural bodies of water where environmental impact is a concern. The SPF 50 protection has been effective. We've used it on sunny days at the pool and during outdoor play, and my kids have not experienced sunburns. It seems to hold up well during physical activity and water exposure. The fact that it’s water- and sweat-resistant is a huge plus, especially for active kids who are constantly on the move. The spray format is also convenient. It’s quick to apply and helps avoid the messiness of lotion, which my kids typically resist. The spray nozzle works well and delivers an even mist that makes it relatively easy to cover arms, legs, and shoulders in seconds. That said, application still requires attention to make sure the product is not being blown away in the wind or missing spots—issues common to most spray sunscreens. There are a few areas where this product could be improved. Like many aerosol sprays, it can be wasteful, especially in windy conditions. A noticeable amount of product can end up in the air rather than on the skin, which means the cans don’t last as long as you might expect. Additionally, I don’t find it ideal for the face. The spray can irritate the eyes or be accidentally inhaled by younger children. I usually pair it with a face stick or lotion sunscreen to ensure full protection without discomfort. Despite these small issues, this sunscreen has become a regular part of our outdoor routine. It’s especially handy when we need to get out the door quickly or reapply sunscreen at the park or pool. The twin pack is a good value for families, and the kid-focused formulation gives me confidence that it’s gentle on sensitive skin. In summary, the Banana Boat Sport Kids SPF 50 Spray offers strong, reliable sun protection in a convenient format that kids (and parents) don’t mind. While there are a few limitations common to spray sunscreens, they don’t outweigh the overall performance and ease of use. It’s a solid choice for families who spend a lot of time outdoors and need something effective, safe, and fast to apply.

Nice non-greasy sun screen.
Sun protection factor: 50 Sun Protection Factor (SPF), Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 2)
Pleased with how these don't leave us feeling gross. My son has sensory issues sometimes and can't stand the lotion style feeling sticky on him (but who does like that? Lol) and he doesn't mind this when we spray a good amount into our palm and rub it on his skin. Seems to work well at protecting from burns. I also appreciate that it has a very mild scent as I'm picky about that.
