Anthurium 'Polyschistum' is a remarkable plant with its unique, sculptural foliage. Its deeply cut leaves create a striking visual effect, adding an exotic and dynamic dimension to any indoor space. Perfect for plant lovers looking for a touch of lush greenery, this Anthurium is an ideal centerpiece for a well-lit corner.
Origin: Anthurium 'Polyschistum' is a tropical plant native to the rainforests of Central and South America. Prized for its lush, cut foliage, this plant brings an exotic touch and sculptural beauty to any interior, adding a tropical, verdant ambiance.
Growth: Anthurium 'Polyschistum' has a moderate to fast growth rate indoors. Its deeply cut leaves can reach a good size, creating a sense of lightness and movement. With proper care, this plant can reach a height of 60 to 80 cm.
Flowers: This Anthurium variety is primarily grown for its spectacular foliage, but it can also produce inconspicuous inflorescences in the form of spathes and spadices. These flowers are not as imposing as those of other Anthuriums, but they add an interesting element to the plant.
Light: Anthurium 'Polyschistum' prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn its leaves. This plant also tolerates lightly shaded environments, although adequate light will promote more vigorous growth.
Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist throughout the year. It is important not to let the soil dry out completely between waterings, while avoiding overwatering, which could cause root rot. A humid environment, with regular but moderate watering, is ideal.
Substrate: A rich, well-drained potting mix is recommended for Anthurium 'Polyschistum'. A peat-based potting mix with pine bark, charcoal, and perlite provides good aeration, essential for this plant, which likes moisture but hates soggy soil.
Toxicity: Anthurium 'Polyschistum' is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. It is recommended to keep it out of reach of children and pets.
