The ideal care for the Moonshine Snakeplant is like that of your typical Sansevieria, which does not entail too much work. Because Snake Plants originate from the dry desert environment of West Africa, they are often exposed to full sun and are extremely drought tolerant.

When placed in well-draining soil and watered once monthly, this family of plants is unlikely to suffer from root rot. However, due to their frequently dry soil, snake plants are a bit more susceptible to spider mites and require periodic cleaning of the foliage.

Snake plants are perfect for first-time plant parents because of their ability to survive in a wide variety of environments. While their preferred light conditions are bright indirect light, these hardy houseplants will tolerate just about any light range, including fluorescent lighting, full sun, and dark corners. In addition to their easy plant care regimen, snake plants are great air purifiers and can be easily propagated!
