Elevate your indoor garden with our exquisite Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides), a sophisticated houseplant that brings timeless elegance and intoxicating fragrance to any space. Also known as Cape Jasmine, this premium flowering plant features lustrous, deep green evergreen foliage and produces pristine white blooms with an unforgettable sweet perfume that rivals the finest French perfumes.
Why Choose Our Gardenia Houseplants:
- Premium Quality: Robust, well-established plants in professional 4.5-inch pots
- Legendary Fragrance: Famous for intensely sweet-scented white flowers
- Evergreen Beauty: Glossy, dark green leaves provide year-round visual interest
- Air Purifying: Natural indoor air cleanser for healthier living spaces
- Boutique Appeal: Perfect statement plant for sophisticated interior design
- Long Blooming Season: Multiple flowering periods from spring through fall
Gardenia Care Instructions:
- Light: Bright, indirect light (6+ hours daily); avoid harsh afternoon sun
- Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; use filtered or rainwater when possible
- Humidity: Requires 50-60% humidity (use humidity tray or room humidifier)
- Temperature: 65-70°F (18-21°C) daytime, 60-65°F (15-18°C) nighttime
- Soil: Acidic, well-draining potting mix (pH 5.0-6.0)
- Fertilizer: Feed bi-weekly with acid-loving plant fertilizer during growing season
Expert Care Tips: Gardenias thrive with consistent care routines. Yellow leaves often indicate iron deficiency - treat with iron sulfate or chelated iron. Bud drop commonly occurs from temperature fluctuations or dry air. Mist around (not on) the plant daily to maintain humidity. Remove spent blooms promptly to encourage more flowering. The plant benefits from outdoor summer vacations in filtered shade. Keep soil acidic by feeding with acid-loving plant food.
Perfect for: Living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms with windows, sunrooms, offices, luxury gift giving, fragrant indoor gardens, and anyone seeking an elegant flowering houseplant that delivers boutique-quality blooms indoors.
