Beacon® Blue Pearl Impatiens offers exceptional performance, vibrant color, and proven disease resistance, making it a standout choice for shady garden spaces. With soft lavender-blue blooms that shimmer with cool undertones, Beacon® Blue Pearl adds a refreshing and elegant touch to hanging baskets, window boxes, or shaded spots in the landscape. Compact and mounded, Blue Pearl reaches a mature height of 14 to 18 inches and spreads 12 to 14 inches, and is covered in a myriad of blooms from late spring through late summer.
Impatiens are a staple of the shade garden, and Beacon Blue Pearl combines classic charm along with modern disease resistance and season-long flower power. The Beacon® series was bred to be highly resistant to Downy Mildew, a breakthrough in impatiens breeding. For gardeners seeking dependable, high-impact color in shady spots, this variety delivers beauty without the risk of downy mildew setbacks.
Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before your region's last expected frost date, and transplant outdoors once nighttime temperatures consistently stay above 50°F. Beacon® Blue Pearl Impatiens thrive in partial to full shade and perform best in moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Once established, they require minimal maintenance beyond regular watering and occasional feeding.
Blooming begins in late spring and continues non-stop through summer, providing months of reliable color even in challenging low-light conditions.
