Kalanchoe Fire Rainbow is a beautiful hybrid that has ivory margins on vibrant green leaves and blush neon pink. It grows upward like a tree shrub with gaps in between the leaves. The original natural habitat of this species is central-southern Madagascar. Needs well-draining soil, water thoroughly when soil is dry. Protect from frost; hardiness at 35F degrees.

Habit: It is a low-growing, untidy, erect to spreading ramified, perennial succulent herb. It is frost-tender, polycarpic and grows to about 40 cm tall and half as wide.
Stems: Non flowering stems round, terete, succulent, 25–30 (or more) cm tall, smooth and lax with visible leaf scars, suberect often bending to touch the ground where they produce roots and a new plant, by the time of blossoming the branch curves upwards rising up to about 40 cm. The flowering branch withers once the fructification is completed, but produces at the base one or two lateral prostrate sterile branches, 8-40 cm long that take root wherever they lie on the ground, also through the emission of robust and rigid aerial roots, which at the end will produce in their turn a flowering branch; in this way, with the time, the plant may remarkably expand.
Leaves: Opposite, evenly spaced, simple, thick and fleshy, glabrous (hairless) oval or obovate (2-)3-5(-10) cm long and 1-3(-8) cm broad , tapering towards the base, waxy, bluish-green or lavender-grey glaucous. Leaf margins edged in cream, scalloped instead of toothed often pink or red, apex obtuse. Petiole terete, 1–6 mm long. Bulbils borne mostly in notches of leaf margins on damaged or fallen leaves.
Inflorescences (Cymes): Terminal corymbiform 15-30 cm tall, to 15 cm in diameter often multi-layered in good conditions, branches to 5 cm long carrying numerous and drooping flowers. Pedicels 5–15 mm long.
Flowers: 2.5-3 cm long tubular-campanulate, nodding, with a short green-yellow violet-flecked calyx (10-)15-18(-20) mm long edged with delta-shaped segments 4–7 mm long, the calyx is shorter than the tubular corolla and inflated. The corolla is a brownish-pink color formed by a 18-25 mm long tube contracted basally, and four obovate, lobes.5–8 mm long, apex obtuse to rounded.
Fruits: 4 clustered follicles containing numerous tiny seeds.
Phenology: It flowers in winter-spring.

Nice, but too small...
Size: 3 Count
...for dudes with bigger hands. The softer black side is very soft, but basically worthless if you're wanting to really scrub dead skin away. The white rougher side is really nice and after scrubbing with it, you really feel clean. You can really feel your pores come alive when you're rinsing the suds away. I've only used the rough side. Now the disappointing part is that the cloth is just too damn small. Men with larger hands will have a hard time keeping the cloth in your hand - it's not big enough to drape over your hand so it scrunches up quite a bit when you're really trying to get a good scrub with it. If they made these in a larger size I would easily give it a "5".

Perfect wash cloth, a soft side and an exfoliating side. Easy to clean I just throw it in with my towels.

Love these and I’ll tell you why….
Size: 3 Count
You have 2 sides to it. One that is rougher and exfoliates wonderful and the other side for gentle use. I like to use the rougher side, scrub down then do it again with the gentler side. It’s a win/win. Highly recommend!💯

Soft and durable side and very robust exfoliating side really works
Size: 3 Count
Super absorbent, and the scrubbing side isn't too rough. I use these first thing in the morning to wash my face and wipe the sleep from my eyes, and the microfiber side of the washcloth is very soft. I highly recommend!

If you're a parent, you want to read this book
Format: Hardcover
Jessica Lahey and I have never met in person, though we have been online writerly acquaintances for about five years. She has read my writings and commented on them (as has, in one case, her son, Finn), and I am professionally acquainted with her sister, Anna Jones. All this to let you know that while this comment is as unbiased as possible, there is a connection between us. THE GIFT OF FAILURE is an important book, useful and lucid. Jessica has researched many resources -- the book's bibliography is six pages of small type, listing 154 sources -- and has distilled their findings, conclusions, suggestions, prescriptions, proscriptions, warnings, and encouragements into a tight, well-structured, and eminently readable guide for the possibly perplexed American parent. If you have school-aged children, please allow me to urge you to read this book and keep it handy. The one caveat I will raise is that Jessica is writing from a certain solidly middle-class perspective, in the older definition of the middle class as a well-educated, professionally successful, and financially privileged population. Some readers may find her casual references to such luxuries as private schools, Latin classes, and schedules jam-packed with soccer games, dance lessons, and music tutorials, to be distancing. Don't let those frills distract you. They are minimal and immaterial. This book is filled in generous measure, packed down and flowing over, with insights and advice of value to any parent of school-aged children, from any segment of society. I can only wish that THE GIFT OF FAILURE had been available when I was raising my own son and trying to figure out how best to do it. (NB -- Amazon tells me that if I give this book four stars, that means "I like it," while if I give it five, that means "I love it." Well, I don't "love" it, but I more than "like" it; since I can't give it four-and-a-half stars, or 4.9, or some such, I am giving it five. It is an important book.)
