Plant Care
-
Light - Xanadu prefers bright, indirect light, such as a window with a sheer curtain. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
-
Watering - Water the plant infrequently but deeply and let the plant dry out between waterings. Water more during the growing season and hotter months. You can also mist the plant with water regularly to help retain its moisture.
-
Fertilizer - Water the plant with the fertilizer monthly in spring and summer and every six to eight weeks in fall and winter.
- Trimming - Trim off dead and dried leaves.
Plant Benefits
- Air purification: The plant removes harmful toxins from the air, such as benzene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene.
- Oxygen release: The plant's glossy leaves release oxygen into the air.
- Humidity levels: The plant's large leaves increase humidity levels in the home, which can help people with asthma or allergies.
- Non-toxic: The plant is non-toxic and ideal for homes with pets and children.
- Easy care: The plant is easy to care for, multiplies quickly, and can thrive in various light conditions.
- Tropical aesthetics: The plant symbolizes health and abundance, and can enhance interior design.
