Days to Maturity: 55 from transplant

Determinate; semi-weeping habit.

Who can resist this merry little cherry tomato, studded with bright red fruit and so compact, you can put it in a 6-inch flowerpot or let it billow over the sides of a hanging basket? Red Robin is a charming ornamental that also happens to set a nice big crop of sweet, tangy fruit.

While some tomatoes are called "container varieties" simply because they don't get too tall or heavy, Red Robin is truly a miniature. You can grow this dwarf in a 6-inch flowerpot, or let it share a hanging basket with a couple of other plants. Dot it along a window box for a huge crop of cherry tomatoes, or tuck it into combo bowls among your flowering annuals. It's an ornamental edible with a space-saving habit.

Setting all of its crop at once, Red Robin sports 1-inch-diameter round fruits that resist cracking and offer a nice tangy-sweet bite. They mature early, so if you live in a warmer climate, you might want to make succession plantings of these seeds, and have several Red Robins in different stages of maturity beautifying the patio or marching up the porch steps.

This plant is naturally well branched, with a semi-weeping habit—it will billow out over the side of a pot but not really trail, so you can place it even in a small container without fear that it will be dragging in the dust. The large dark green leaves offer nice sunscald protection for the fruit, too, but plenty of red cherries peek out from among these branches, looking terrific.

Red Robin is a charming addition to any setting. It finishes quickly, so it makes a good project for kids as well as a lovely gift for gardening or even non-gardening friends. (No special care required beyond sunshine and water.) Give Red Robin a go this season, and we think you'll be back for an extra packet or two—next time. Or, if you're ambitious, save the seed for next season—Red Robin is open-pollinated rather than a hybrid, so it comes true from seed.

Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Plant outdoors when danger of frost is past and night temperatures consistently remain above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If an unexpected late frost is forecasted, protect young plants with plastic sheeting or other cover, or bring containers to a frost free location. Set plants 6 inches apart.

Problem with the sprayer
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50 Spray
Great scent, feels soft after it's put on, but the spray is defective. I don't know if it's just this bottle or the lot, or a manufacturing issue overall, but the spray comes out fine initially and then doesn't, getting clogged temporarily till you stop using it for a while. Then it works fine again. Otherwise I would not have a problem buying it again, if I know it's just a one-off situation with this particular bottle.

Rated #1 for use by adults and children
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 2), Style: SPF 50 Spray
Coppertone Waterbabies SPF 50 has been verified as SPF 50 by an independent testing agency and has been rated number one by the large Consumer product Report organization. Surprisingly many top name products do not provide the sun protection that they advertise. The spray comes out thick, it is essentially the lotion version that is sprayed from a can, but with the rub of the hands becomes transparent and wipes on easily. All sun protection products are supposed to be sprayed on the hands and then applied, even those that spray clear. I've worn waterbabies every day for the past month and I typically spend 2 hours a day in direct sun, sometimes longer. It is sweat resistant without being uncomfortable to wear. I say resistant because when working outside in humid weather I can become quite sweaty and will wipe my brow. The majority of the lotion remains on my skin instead of being transferred to my sleeve. Comfort and retained application are very important to me. Several reviewers complain about the "baby" smell. It doesn't smell so much like babies as it does regular old suntan lotion. Personally I don't really care so much about how it smells as long as it doesn't smell bad like some other expensive sun protection products do. What matters is that it works like it says it will. Like many other products it doesn't taste very good. This is probably a good thing as it keeps people and babies from eating the stuff.

Consumer Reports gives this sunscreen one of their highest ratings and that was good enough for me. Goes on nicely.

The way it feels on the skin is AMAZING!
First off, let me start off by saying I’m not one to comment on things i buy or try out of curiosity for how it’s going to look and feel on my skin. The second I put it on, I noticed how hydrating and smooth it seeps into my skin and felt a very big difference in my skin texture. I’ve also noticed over the course of a month and a half, my face has been glowy and I don’t have dry flakes or skin peeling from my face. I have combination skin and it’s hard for me to find a good hydrating face moisturizer with sunscreen and this really knocked it out of the park for me. I will be purchasing again as I already ran out of my bottle. It’s a little on the pricier side for how many ounces you get, but it’s definitely worth the buy and try.
