Fluridone Aquatic Herbicide – Systemic Weed Killer for Ponds & Lakes
Fluridone is a selective, systemic aquatic herbicide designed for season-long control of submersed, floating, and emergent pond weeds including duckweed and watermeal. Applied early in the growing season, it works at the root level to eliminate problem vegetation while preserving desirable plants in freshwater ponds, lakes, reservoirs, and irrigation canals.
💎 Key Features & Benefits +
Absorbed through leaves, stems, and roots to kill aquatic weeds at the source instead of just burning back top growth.
Early spring application provides extended control with slow, thorough elimination over 30–90 days.
Targets nuisance species like duckweed and watermeal while allowing beneficial vegetation to remain.

- 💡 Note: Maintain consistent herbicide concentration for 7–10 days after application for best results; rapid dilution reduces effectiveness.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions +
Q? How does Fluridone kill aquatic weeds?
A. Fluridone blocks carotene production inside plant cells, causing chlorophyll to break down in sunlight and slowly bleaching weeds to white before full die-off.
Q? How long does it take to see results?
A. Visible bleaching begins within 7–10 days, with full control typically achieved in 30–90 days depending on conditions.
Q? Do I treat just problem areas or the whole pond?
A. For best results, treat the entire pond to maintain consistent herbicide concentration and prevent untreated areas from re-infesting the water body.
