Morning Glory - Glacier Star (Heirloom) - Ipomoea tricolor

Annual - Free-flowering Glacier Star is a reselected, antique cultivar whose dazzling blossoms are translucent baby blue overlaid with dark cerulean blue starred throats. This enchanting blue bicolor opens new flared 4" trumpet flowers each morning starting from mid-summer. Glacier Star's strong and sturdy vines of heart-shaped leaves twine effortlessly to cloak a gate, fence or trellis where they unfurl their skirts of beautiful blooms, creating a tranquil and old-fashioned ambiance.

Soil & Water: Plant in moderately fertile soil that drains well. Erect well-anchored supports at least 8 feet tall in a wind sheltered area; strong netting or a sturdy trellis serve well to hold these vigorous climbers. Morning glories will bloom hard in mid-summer once days begin to shorten.

Planting & Growing: To Start Indoors:In late spring, once weather is warm and settled and nights stay above 50°F, plant seeds in a sunny spot in ordinary garden soil 2 - 3" apart and 1/2" deep. Firm soil over seeds and keep evenly moist but not soggy while awaiting germination. To Start Early Indoors: Sow indoors 4 - 5 weeks before last expected frost in individual pots of seed starting mix. Cover 1/2" deep and keep warm and moist. Provide a strong light source until seedlings are ready to plant outdoors. Transplant very carefully once night stay above 50°F and before seedlings get too crowded. Thin or Transplant: Space seedlings 6 - 8" apart; carefully avoid disturbing roots if transplanting.

(Pro Tip: They aren't using crappy malware, so if you're InfoSec program is built on stopping malware you should be concerned.) We all hear about the social engineering component to an effective attack, but to see it so effectively used over and over again with Wil's case studies really drives home the point. If you're involved in either the management of an Information Security program, or involved in the more tactical parts of penetration testing, I'd put this on your short list of books to read this year. I hope he does a follow-up.
