Nicknamed the Swiss cheese plant thanks to the holes in its leaves, this classic Monstera deliciosa adds instant impact to any space. It’s easy to look after – it prefers indirect light, so put it in a bright room away from the window, and let the soil dry out between drinks. Younger plants will arrive without the signature ‘Swiss cheese’ leaves – these develop as the plant matures, to help the lower leaves receive as much light as possible. This natural climbing plant will need support as it grows – use a moss pole (our biggest Monstera deliciosa comes already trained around one) to help it grow.
