This climbing or trailing plant is easy to care for, making it perfect for plant lovers of all skill levels.
Origin : Native to the Solomon Islands, this variety is a horticultural selection developed in the United States.
Growth : Epipremnum 'Pearls and Jade' is moderately fast growing. It can be trained as a climber or allowed to trail elegantly. Indoors, it can reach considerable length, with leaves that thrive in full light.
Flowers : Flowers are insignificant and rare in indoor cultivation. The beauty of this plant lies mainly in its foliage.
Light : Prefers bright indirect light, but tolerates low light. However, brighter light will promote better leaf variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
Watering : Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. It is important not to leave the plant in soggy soil, which could lead to root rot.
Substrate : Use a well-draining potting soil, ideally a houseplant mix enriched with perlite to ensure good drainage.
Toxicity : Epipremnum aureum is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, causing irritation and gastrointestinal disturbances. It is advisable to keep this plant out of reach of children and pets.
