Long Day
The Yellow Sweet Spanish Onion has been the standard yellow storage onion for the past century. Bulbs are up to 5” wide and can weigh a couple pounds. Skin and flesh are a pleasing yellow. Cures very well in the fall and if stored properly, will provide crispy spiciness to dishes all winter.

Please note that germination rates for alliums (onions/shallots/chives/leeks) decline rapidly. We strongly encourage you to purchase new seed each growing season.

PLANTING

Allium cepa

Germination: 5-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 60-75ºF.

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4" deep

Sowing Indoors: Start 8-10 weeks before last frost with soil temperatures 60-75ºF. Sow in flats 1/4” deep, 1/4” apart. Transplant seedlings out mid/late spring, 2-6” apart. Liquid fertilize seedlings every 7-10 days. Seedlings' size should be about pencil thick at transplanting time.

Sowing Outdoors- Early to mid-spring when soil temperature reaches at least 55 ºF. Sow 1-3 seeds per inch, thin to 2-6” apart. The larger the bulb size, the more space.

How much does a packet plant: 15-30 foot single row

Harvest- Stop watering a week before harvesting. Pull out when necks soften and start to fall over. Cure them in the sun for a few days, then finish drying them out of direct sunlight, in a warm area, and in single layer so air can circulate around them until the neck is dry. Store in a cool, dark place with 35-40ºF temperatures and 65-70% humidity.

Tips- The Yellow Sweet Spanish Onion needs fertile, well drained soil. Amend with compost or apply organic granular fertilizer. Adequate water is very important for optimum growth, 1" per week.

Issues still persist even with the new rechargable version.
Nite Ize just can't get this figured out. This ball is by far my dogs favorite ball. We play ball daily, and when we don't get in a ball session during the day, we pull one of these out after dark. The problem persists even on the new rechargeable design. They just don't last. With the old battery operated version we just knew we would spend the 25 or so dollars each month to purchase a new one as the light mechanism would fail. When they updated to the rechargeable version I was ecstatic to try it. I bought one and it lasted an entire month before we lost it over a fence. I purchased a replacement thinking that Nite Ize finally figured out the design. I was wrong, this one lasted for about 6 or 7 evenings of ball fetching and stopped working. Just a disappointment that they can't get this issue solved.

Doggy and Daddy like the pretty lights
My dog loves this ball! So do his friends. He's not much of a ball guy during the day, but loses his mind with this ball. And I like it because the pretty changy colors agree with my edibles. Very durable and the charge seems to last at least five hours.

My dog loves them
Love them but wish they were a bit more durable. The bounce high, fit the thrower and they don’t weight too much. A little steep on price but the dog loves them

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!!
If I could give it 10 stars, I would. This ball is AMAZING! Love that it's rechargeable, that it shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity, that it changes colors. It's dark by the time I get home from work so playing ball in the dark with this ball is a game changer.
