modern plant pot indoor Diamond PotThe Diamond Medium is a 5 inch porcelain plant pot from Chive Studio. Four flat faces, a drainage hole at the base, and a flush fitting saucer in the same glaze. The matte body and glossy saucer are not an accident. The contrast between them is the design. We spent twenty five years arguing about proportions before we landed on these ones. The matte body and glossy saucer are not an accident. The contrast between them is the design. We spent twenty-five years arguing about proportions before we landed on these ones.
Todd sketched the original Diamond because he wanted a shape that could go in a corner and look like it had always been there. Most pots are cylinders. Cylinders go anywhere. The Diamond has four faces and an opinion. The studio argued about the taper for longer than the taper deserved. The argument produced something we could not improve. We stopped.
Botanical gardens have been choosing this pot for years. The New York Botanical Garden stocks it. Denver Botanic Gardens carries it. These are buyers who look at a lot of pots. They chose this one.
