Grow Your Own Natural Remedy
Soursop (also known as Graviola or Guanabana) is a tropical fruit tree known for its medicinal properties. The leaves are especially beneficial, and scientific studies have shown that they can help support overall health, especially when used to make soothing teas. With Plant and Heal Co.'s fresh soursop seeds, you can grow your own tree and start enjoying these benefits at home.
Each packet contains 5 fresh soursop seeds.
Planting Instructions
1. Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours to aid germination.
2. Plant the seeds about 1-2 inches deep in well-draining soil.
3. Water the seeds gently, keeping the soil moist but not soggy.
4. Place the seeds in a sunny spot with a warm temperature (70-90°F / 21-32°C).
Time to Maturity
It can take 3-5 years for the soursop tree to produce fruit if grown from seed. However, the leaves can be harvested for tea starting within the first year.
USDA Growing Zones
Soursop grows best in USDA zones 10-11, which includes tropical and subtropical climates. If you live in a cooler area, you can grow it indoors in a container.
Why Grow Soursop Indoors?
Even if you don't live in a tropical climate, you can still benefit from growing soursop indoors. The leaves are scientifically proven to have health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Growing the plant indoors allows you to regularly harvest fresh leaves for tea, making it a natural remedy you can enjoy year-round.
Growing Tips
- Keep your plant in a humid environment. Consider using a humidifier or misting the leaves.
- Be patient—soursop is a slow grower, but it’s worth the wait.
- Prune the plant as needed to encourage healthy growth and more leaves.
Start your own soursop tree with Plant and Heal Co. fresh seeds and enjoy the health benefits of this powerful plant from the comfort of your home.
