Queen Pineapple (Ananas comosus)
Queen Pineapple is a compact, spiky-leaved tropical plant grown for its sweet, golden fruit and architectural form. Smaller than commercial varieties, it produces a fragrant, delicious pineapple with deep yellow flesh and a complex, candy-like flavour. The plant also makes a striking ornamental with its dense rosette of serrated leaves and central fruiting stalk.
Ideal for growing in large containers or warm garden beds in frost-free climates, Queen Pineapple is drought-tolerant once established and rewards patience with one of the most flavourful fruits you can grow at home.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Full sun to bright light
• Water: Water deeply when soil is dry; drought-tolerant once mature
• Humidity: Moderate humidity preferred
• Considerations: Protect from frost; best grown in a container with free-draining soil
Sold in a 10 cm pot (similar to one in photo). Suitable for container growing indoors or outdoors in frost-free areas.
