The Song of Jamaica is a striking Dragon Tree, with tall architectural stems and layers of long, striped green leaves; the Song of Jamaica brings a lush, tropical feel into your space. Its full foliage and upright growth make it a good choice for adding a little height and softness to quieter corners.
It is one of those hardy indoor plants that settles in easily and asks for very little in return, making it a good option for beginners or anyone wanting something more low-maintenance.
They appreciate bright, indirect light best, though it will happily tolerate medium light too, with low light causing it to lose its striking patterning. So, don't go too low.
Pair with a gorgeous Palm Leaf Basket or one of our sleek, modern Floor-Standing Planters to complete the look. A simple way to bring a fuller, greener feel into your home.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to keep your Song of Jamaica Plant healthy and happy.
Water: Keep the soil on the dry side, very slightly moist at the most, and allow the top quarter of the soil to dry out before watering again – if in doubt, rather not water. Water less in wintertime.
Light: Bright, indirect light. Keep it out of direct sun.
Humidity: High humidity is very important for this plant to grow well and healthily.
Fertilize: Feed with balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer months
