Spreading seeds by hand is a learned art and must be done carefully to ensure even application and complete coverage. These seeds are extremely small and difficult to spread evenly by hand. Hand application often leads to clumping and over-seeding. For best results, use a bulking agent or carrier such as compost, sand, or sawdust. Dutch White Clover has white with some pink flower blooms from May to October, creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. The spring bloom will turn brown and crunchy in the heat of mid-summer. Simply mow those flower heads off, and new blooms will push out in early autumn as temperatures begin to come down from summer.

Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success.
  • Pure Flower Seeds -- Unlike other brands, Flawn Seed doesn't use grass seed fillers. Our specialty seed contains Dutch White Clover Seed. Flowering seeds have longer germination periods and mature slower than grasses. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past.
Seeding Information:

When to Seed: Spring, late summer, or early fall when rains are frequent and temperatures are moderate. Do not seed if a frost is forecast. Can also be dormant seeded on frozen ground.

Site Preparation: Mow at .5-1", remove clippings and rake any additional thatch. The soil must be visible and loosened up before seeding or seed will likely not grow.

Watering: Lightly water after seeding to start germination process. Prevent soil from completely drying out for a period of 1-2 weeks, then water as needed if seedlings start wilting.

Mowing: Maintain a height of 3" for the first year. This prevents the grass and any weeds from crowding out the baby Flawn seedlings.

Fertilizer: For lawns that have not been fertilized recently it may be beneficial to apply a low nitrogen organic fertilizer 2-3 months after seeding such as a 8-0-4 or similar.

Weed Control: It is best to remove excessive weeds by hand or natural methods before seeding. After seeding, remove unwanted weeds as desired. WARNING: Do not broadcast apply weed killers as they will kill the plants.

Almost perfect, absolutely fit for purpose, and a great value

These are really, really close to being five stars, but because of my OCD tendencies when it comes to things being true and level, I can only go four. The way these mounts are made, speakers rest inside and on the inner surface of the L-shaped adjustable side brackets, and not on the large metal plate between them. Leveling on the fore-and-aft plane can easily be handled via the adjustment nut on the bottom of the bracket. But there is no provision for side-to-side leveling, so if the manufacturing of the side brackets is not within tolerance, you'll wind up with a speaker that's ever-so-slightly wonky...which is the case with ONE of my mounts. The bubble is still between the lines, but it's kissing the left line. Most would not care about this, and I'm not too bummed about it, but I am able to see that much out-of-true with the naked eye. It's not enough to pursue any kind of remediation, because the value on these really is awfully good. They are solidly built, easy to install, and easy to adjust. The manufacturer is apparently improving the product as they go based on feedback, as some issues that have vexed other owners have not been a problem for me, such as the wall plates being or coming loose (the design now ensures they stay put once pushed back to the wall), or the adjustment nut and bolt rotating freely and not staying tight (the ones on mine are great and function as intended). For the price, these are really hard to beat, and I have a feeling all the mounts like this with the different oddly-named brands are made in the same factory. That being the case, get the cheapest ones, and the day I bought mine, these were those.

These are nice, solid wall mounts. They assembled quickly and easily, and they can hold larger bookshelf speakers like my Cambridge Soundworks M60s. Adjusting the plate to match speaker size is pretty easy, and they seem to grip the speaker tight enough that they won't fall off. The tilt option is very useful and a good feature when speakers are mounted high and need to tilt down toward the listener. Just remember to tighten the bolt on the bottom once you've positioned it where you want it. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for solid, well priced speaker mounts.
