The Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree is renowned for its remarkable air-purifying qualities, making it more than just a visually appealing addition to your living space. This magnificent plant serves as a natural air filter, effectively removing harmful pollutants from the environment. Through a process known as phytoremediation, the Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree absorbs pollutants such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene, which are commonly found in household items like furniture, cleaning products, and fabrics. As it takes in these pollutants, the tree breaks them down and converts them into harmless substances, thus improving the overall air quality in your home. This innate ability not only contributes to a healthier living environment but also serves as a gentle reminder of our connection to nature and the reciprocal relationship we share with the plant world.
Fiddle leaf figs require a lot of light however prefer not to be in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause blemishes and fade foliage. A very bright indirect light is best suited for this plant.
A deep soaking every week or so is usually sufficient. Make sure the top 2-3 inches are dry before the next watering. These plants also love humidity, so best to keep away from any air conditioners and heaters. Wiping the leaves regularly with Ash&Fig Mineral feed will help to keep foliage healthy and lush!
