Introducing the Philodendron Mexicanum, a captivating climber that brings the essence of the Mexican rainforest into your home. This rare and exotic plant features elongated, arrow-shaped leaves with a unique tri-lobed design, showcasing deep green hues on top and a striking maroon underside. As it matures, the foliage can reach impressive sizes, adding a bold statement to any indoor jungle. It's easy-going nature and distinctive appearance make it a must-have for both novice and seasoned plant enthusiasts.

Why is it Considered Rare? It is considered a rare plant in the houseplant world. While not as elusive as some highly sought-after Philodendron hybrids, it is prized for its unique tri-lobed leaves and striking coloration, making it a collector's favorite. Its availability is limited compared to more common varieties, often found through specialty plant shops or dedicated collectors.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Distinctive Foliage: The tri-lobed leaves with contrasting colors create a dynamic visual appeal, making it a centerpiece in any plant collection.
  • Vigorous Climber: With proper support, it can climb gracefully, adding vertical interest and lush greenery to your space.
  • Low Maintenance: Adaptable and resilient, it thrives with minimal care, perfect for busy lifestyles.

Plant Styling Tips: Pair the Philodendron Mexicanum with a rustic moss pole or a sleek trellis to support its climbing habit. Place it in a decorative pot that complements its vibrant foliage, and let it ascend to create a living green sculpture in your home.

Tea Pairing: Enjoy a cup of Hibiscus Tea alongside your Philodendron Mexicanum. The tea's rich, tart flavor and deep red color harmonize with the plant's maroon leaf undersides, offering a sensory journey to the tropics.

Plant Care FAQs:

  • Botanical Name: Philodendron mexicanum
  • Common Name: Mexican Philodendron

  • Toxicity: Toxic if ingested; keep away from pets and children.

Info not to be found elsewhere ...
Format: Paperback
I am a cardiologist in my 50s. I have long been interested in hemodynamics and have an extensive home file system and library of Cardiovascular related books and journal articles. I thought I understood hemodynamics and tracings very well. However this book is a treasure trove of info that simply cannot be found in other publications. It has been a very worthwhile purchase. Highly recommended. This is best suited for cardiology fellows and beyond in my opinion. This info is simply not to be found elsewhere. It is as if a grey haired attending is pointing out minutiae to you that you had not realized was buried in the tracings. Well written and easy to digest. It is best to have a good understanding of hemodynamics and waveforms before reading this though. The correlation with ECHO and diastolic issues is also very good. (This book should be required reading for all cardiology fellows - invasive or noninvasive)

Excellent
Format: Paperback
As a second-year cardiology fellow, I used to get very confused with hemodynamics during my cath and CCU rotations. This book is a gem, it is clear and logically written, has great explanations of waves and great illustrations. The constrictive pericarditis, valvular disease, and FFR chapters are impressive with echocardiographic and physiologic correlations. I actually liked everything I read, like the nice differentiation between the pressure tracings of various chambers. Some of it requires multiple reads but it is worth it. I realized that I had missed a great deal of the basic understanding of pressure tracing configuration, wedge pressure, shunts. There are also over 50 cases in a test-answer format probably covering and reviewing most hemodynamic topics. It is like 2 books in 1.
