Meet the Tree
- Jerusalem Pine (Pinus halepensis): A Mediterranean evergreen with sculptural needles and strong form, a classic bonsai that provides year-round structure and beauty.
How to Grow
Step 1 – Soak Seeds: Some seeds benefit from a brief soak before sowing to help speed germination.
Step 2 – Sow in Mini Propagator: Expand coir discs with water, place seeds in the growing medium, cover with lid, and set on a bright, warm windowsill.
Step 3 – Germination: Keep the medium moist (not waterlogged) and be patient, germination times vary. Water little and often for young plants.
Step 4 – Pot Up: When seedlings are strong enough to handle, transplant into the bonsai bowl filled with coir. Ensure good drainage and place in bright light.
