Fine-textured, and showy, attract butterflies and honey bees to your garden with the vibrant charm of Strawberry Seduction™ Yarrow PP #18,401 (Achillea millefolium 'Strawberry Seduction) Part of the Seduction™ series, Strawberry Seduction is known for its unique red blooms that last and last!
In the spring, the easy-care Strawberry Seduction™ grows quickly into clumps of fern-like, green leafy mounds. Strawberry Seduction™ Yarrow produces large clusters of soft, petite true red flowers with bright gold centers! There won't be a day that goes by without beneficial pollinators gathering nectar and pollen throughout the day!
Best of all, Yarrow is a blissfully easy herbaceous perennial...a perfect selection for beginners. Handling hot, dry, sunny sites and humidity throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 8, Achillea has few pests or disease issues and is very low-maintenance!
Planting and Application:
Add this vigorous, yet compact grower in Butterfly Gardens. Not only will your local butterflies and pollinators adore these blooms, but pollen-eating bees and beneficial insects will also appreciate these versatile flowering powerhouses! The bold hues "pop" in Cottage Gardens, too! A must-have for your cut flower garden, wildflower border, mixed perennial garden, and prairie planting, Yarrow always shows off with incredible color!
You'll love running your hand along the finely cut, deep-green foliage, it is aromatic and has a spicy, medicinal, and warming scent. Trim the first flush of blooms to use inside in darling fresh or dried arrangements! Maintaining the form will encourage repeat blooms until frost!
Let this adaptable and resilient perennial fill in around the base of taller perennials and flowering shrubs as an unforgettable groundcover and garden filler! A lacy fringe of Yarrow along the front of a garden bed as edging or along a sunny pathway will become your favorite place to stroll!
Hardy enough for that hell-strip along the road or sidewalk, in sun-drenched planters around the pool, or in that sunbaked garden around the mailbox, these little plants stand up to harsh conditions beautifully! The Achillea varieties are a great choice for mass planting and are drought-tolerant as well. Plant this brilliant sunspot in your Rock Gardens and Xeric plantings. Strawberry Seduction™ is a definite must-have for defensible space planting in any firewise landscape.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Yarrow can tolerate poor soil conditions, and do best in hot humid summers, in a full sun spot with excellent drainage. Water them regularly to get their roots established in your soil during their first season. After that, this rugged herbaceous perennial shows drought tolerance, although you'll want to give water in extended droughts. Deep waterings are better than frequent surface waterings, encouraging the roots to delve deep into the ground for moisture, and making them more resilient in the long run.
Top-dress with a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch to not only make them look better but also hold moisture and insulate the roots best. Once established, allow your Yarrow to dry between waterings for best success because they despise soggy soil.
Deadheading enhances their overall appearance and encourages rebloom. In spring, before you see new growth, trim away any of last year's stems to clean up the crown. Divide the mounds every 3-4 years.
- Performs Beautifully in Heat & Full Sun
- Tolerates Dry Soil & Needs Well-Drained Sites
