Despite having a name and leaf shape of a typical ivy plant, Wax Ivy (Senecio macrolossus 'Varigatus') is actually a succulent! And it's as easy to care for a succulent too with minimal watering needs. This stunning trailing plant features ivy-shaped, light yellow leaves with green variegation, and when it gets enough sun, the edges of the leaves can change to a beautiful purple color like the stem.
Care Tips:
- Water about once a week or so, when the soil is dry. If the leaves look limp, it's ready for a drink!
- Light - prefers bight, direct light, but it will be happy in lower lighting as well.
- Repot once you notice roots coiling around the bottom of the planter and/or it dries out more quickly between watering. When you choose a new pot for it, only go up 1-2" in pot size at a time to encourage healthy foliage growth.
Key Features:
- Ivy look with succulent care: Looks just like a juicy ivy plant with thick, waxy leaves, but is as easy to care for as a succulent!
- Compact & Versatile: Perfect for small spaces, desktops, or hanging planters.
- Fast-Growing: Trailing plant that will grow quickly in bright, direct light.
- Low Maintenance: Doesn't need to be watered often and is fairly forgiving.
- Air Purifying: Helps improve indoor air quality by filtering toxins.
Bring a touch of the desert indoors with a Wax Ivy plant — whether you're a seasoned plant lover or just starting your green journey, this little beauty is sure to brighten up any corner of your home.
*Pet friendly! Not normally harmful unless consumed in large quantities.*
*Plant you receive will be similar to photos*
