Portulacaria afra 'Mediopicta' is a bright, graphic houseplant, prized for its small, oval, pale green leaves marbled with cream, held atop reddish stems. With its shrubby shape and contrasting colors, it adds a soft yet structured touch to any interior space.
Origin: This variety is a variegated form of Portulacaria afra, a species native to South Africa where it grows in dry, sunny areas.
Growth: Portulacaria afra 'Mediopicta' has moderate growth and can form a small, compact shrub over time. It can be pruned to maintain a harmonious shape and encourage branching.
Flowers: In indoor cultivation, flowering is rare. When it occurs, it appears as small, star-shaped pink flowers grouped in clusters.
