Philodendron El Choco Red, also known as Philodendron rubrijuvenile, is a highly sought-after and stunning variety of Philodendron, celebrated for its striking coloration and rarity. This exquisite plant is named after the Chocó region in Colombia from where it originates. It features large, velvety leaves that are deep green on the surface, with the undersides showcasing a breathtaking shade of reddish-purple. This colour contrast is especially prominent in new leaves, which unfurl in a rich, deep red before maturing to their iconic dual-toned appearance. The 'El Choco Red' grows as an epiphyte in its natural habitat, meaning it's adapted to grow on other plants or trees rather than directly in the soil, adding to its exotic allure.
