A healthy, well established Wisteria vine is a coveted feature of many gardeners. Mature Chinese Blue wisteria vines positively drip with long bunches of fragrant, blue, sweetpea-like flowers. These flowers are total bee magnets!
The clusters of Chinese Blue Wisteria are 6-12 inches long - shorter than Japanese Wisteria. Another interesting difference is that the searching tendrils of Chinese Blue Wisteria grow counter clockwise, while those of Japanese Wisteria spiral clockwise!
This beautiful, quick growing vine is easy to grow from seed! Wisteria needs something sturdy to grow on, like a trellis or pergola, as well as regular pruning. Do not allow it to grow on a tree, as it will strangle the tree.
** Germination: 70 - 90%**
