Tillandsia schiedeana – Resilient & Rare Air Plant
Description:
Tillandsia schiedeana is a hardy and distinctive air plant native to Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, Venezuela, and Colombia. Known for its ability to thrive in higher temperatures, brighter sun, and drier conditions, this species is ideal for low-maintenance collections. This is a beautiful hanging dense clump and is stunning when in bloom!
Its long, thin leaves are covered in fine trichomes, giving them a velvety texture and soft green to purple coloring. These leaves naturally intertwine and form striking clumps over time. When in bloom, schiedeana produces a vibrant cherry-red flower spike topped with bright yellow flowers, adding a beautiful splash of color to your space.
Product Highlights:
🌵 Drought-Tolerant – Thrives with less water than most air plants
🌞 Sun-Loving – Performs well in bright, warm environments
🌸 Rare & Limited – Occasionally available in bloom; limited quantities
🌿 Clumping Growth Habit – Great for natural displays or mounted arrangements
