Philodendron ‘Jose Buono’
Philodendron Jose Buono is a collector’s dream plant, known for its oversized, paddle-shaped leaves marbled with creamy-white variegation. Each leaf is unique, with splashes, streaks, or large blocks of white set against deep green. Its climbing habit makes it perfect for training up a moss pole or totem, where the leaves can grow impressively large.
Care Tips:
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light keeps variegation bold; avoid direct sun which can scorch leaves
💧 Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry; prefers consistently moist but well-draining soil
🌫 Humidity: Thrives in high humidity (60%+); use a humidifier or pebble tray for best results
❄️ Temperature: Keep warm (65–85°F); protect from cold drafts
🐾 Pet Friendly: No (toxic if ingested)
Fun Fact: Jose Buono is a naturally variegated cultivar, not a lab creation. Its variegation is stable but highly variable, meaning every plant develops its own one-of-a-kind leaf patterning—making it especially prized among rare plant enthusiasts. 🌿✨
