The leaves of Anthurium warocqueanum are dark green with a velvety surface and are adorned with prominent, white veins that create a dramatic contrast against the deep foliage.

In its natural environment, the tropical forests of Colombia, Anthurium warocqueanum grows as an epiphyte on tree trunks in the shade. This actually makes the plant well-adapted to thrive indoors as a potted plant. A good plant support such as a moss pole is recommended.

Botanical description

Anthurium warocqueanum originates from Colombia. The species is not endangered but very rare in the plant trade.

Appearance.

The leaves of Anthurium warocqueanum are elongated, narrow and can grow up to 1.2 meters long under optimal conditions. They have a velvety surface and prominent white veins that give the plant its characteristic appearance.

Care.

Anthurium warocqueanum thrives in a well-drained soil mix, preferably a mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss and perlite, such as our aroid mix, to mimic the plant's natural epiphytic growing environment as an indoor houseplant. Anthurium warocqueanum thrives in indirect light and high humidity. Water regularly but allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid root rot.

Anthurium warocqueanum will enhance any room with its large green oblong leaves. This plant is also called 'queen anthurium' and is one of the most sought-after green houseplants right now. Buy Anthurium warocqueanum online and let this queen among aroids brighten up your home!

Flaky and Doesn't Handle Moisture Well
Size: 36 PACK
The plates have a tiny amount of twist in the center and quite a bit of doming when flexed. While the outer edges are entirely floppy. Most of the center is smooth, but there are rough patches that flake off paper pieces when rubbed with a spoon or from a lot of moisture from food. The flat surface (not the inner walls) was able to withstand still water for about 10 minutes before weakening, so I wouldn't use it for wet or very moist foods.

Thinner Than Chinet, Far More Expensive
Size: 12 PACK
These platters are about the same size and shape as Chinet platters and are reminiscent of them in construction and form. However, these plates are about half as thick as a Chinet and at $10 for just 12 plates, that makes them FAR more expensive than Chinet which a 30-pack of their platters can be had for less than $7. So no, I won't be getting any more of these much thinner, much more expensive plates when Chinet offers a product that's usually sturdier than you need for far less than these platters. If they were cheaper than Chinet by a fair amount I'd have given them 5 stars as they're thick enough for most uses and thumbs up for compostability, but I have to call out the overpriced nature of them.
