Eucomis Autumnalis White, known as the White Pineapple Lily, is an eye-catching addition to any garden, combining an exotic appearance with classic elegance. This perennial showcases unique flower spikes that emerge from a base of broad, strap-like green leaves. Topped with a cluster of green bracts, each flower spike resembles a small pineapple, adding a fun and distinctive touch to your outdoor space. Reaching heights of 15-20 inches, Eucomis Autumnalis White is ideal for garden borders, rockeries, or large containers. Its pristine, star-shaped white flowers bloom densely along upright stems, creating a show-stopping display from late summer into early fall. This late bloom period provides fresh interest when many other summer plants are beginning to decline, extending the visual appeal of your garden well into the cooler months. A notable feature of Eucomis Autumnalis White is its adaptability. While it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, it is more tolerant of varying conditions compared to some of its tropical relatives. For gardeners in colder regions, lifting the bulbs and storing them in a cool, dry place over winter ensures this perennial can be enjoyed year after year. Opt for Eucomis Autumnalis White for its bold, unique floral spikes and elegant late-season blooms, perfect for gardeners seeking an unusual yet easy-care plant. In colder climates, lifting and potting up the bulbs in fall and moving them to a sheltered spot or cool greenhouse during winter helps protect them and encourage healthy regrowth.
