DESCRIPTION
The Norfolk Pine Bonsai, scientifically known as Araucaria heterophylla and part of the Araucariaceae family, is a captivating plant native to Norfolk Island in the Pacific Ocean. Known for its unique and elegant coniferous appearance, this bonsai adds a touch of nature's artistry to any indoor space. It thrives in bright, indirect light and can tolerate some direct sunlight, although it should be shielded from prolonged exposure to the harsh midday sun. In Singapore's tropical climate, it is essential to water the Norfolk Pine Bonsai thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, typically about once a week. During hotter months, you may need to increase the frequency of watering. Ensuring good drainage is crucial to prevent root rot. This bonsai is moderately easy to care for, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts. While not known for its air-purifying properties, it is non-toxic to pets, though it's best to prevent pets from consuming large quantities. The Norfolk Pine Bonsai enjoys well-draining soil and dislikes overwatering and poor drainage. With proper care, this beautiful bonsai can be a delightful and enduring addition to your plant collection.
