The Philodendron Tangerine is a stunning tropical houseplant that is sure to add a splash of colour to any room it’s in. Its glossy leaves first open up with a deep orange colour, and over time the older leaves turn green.

Philodendron Tangerine Care Instructions

Light requirements for a Philodendron Tangerine

Philodendron tangerine can thrive in many different conditions but it is more suited to bright indirect light. Most rooms with a window will do just fine, as this plant can survive in lower light conditions. As long as direct sun is not touching the leaves, you are all set.

Water requirements

The Philodendron Tangerine prefers to dry out between waterings. Press your finger about an inch into the soil and if it is damp, it doesn’t need any more water. If your finger comes out dry, it is time to water.

Soil requirements

Well-draining and loose potting mix will let your Philodendron tangerine thrive. They will also grow just fine in sphagnum peat moss.

Humidity for Philodendron Tangerine

Average humidity in a house is great, and this plant can handle lower humidity areas, so it’s great in any room or office.

Origin, Family, and Information

A cultivar of the Prince of Orange, this houseplant is a member of the Araceae family, and part of the Philodendron genus. Philodendron Tangerine has become a trendy indoor plant that will thrive when given proper bright indirect sun and water. Care for a Philodendron Tangerine is the same as the prince of orange  the main difference between the two is the shape and size of the leaves. Tangerine tends to be more slender elongated leaves.

Growth and Pruning Tips For Philodendron Tangerine

As a houseplant, the Philodendron Tangerine will normally reach about 24 inches in height, and it will spread out wide as the leaves open up. Unlike some of its related plants, this plant will not climb. It prefers to grow in clumps, and will stay close to the ground over its life.

If your plant gets too leggy for your liking, cutting off some of the stems will keep the plant in great shape. When dusting the leaves, gently wipe each leaf with a soft, damp cloth.

Stick flavor chew toy.
Flavor Name: Bacon, Size: Medium
My dog LOVES to chew sticks. I purchased this for her in the hopes she would chew this instead. She still chews sticks, but less since purchasing this for her. She loves these versions of Nylabones in all flavors. I would purchase again.

40lb Lab Retriever Loves It!
Flavor Name: Bacon, Size: Medium
My 40lb Labrador Retriever loves her Nylabone. She DOES chew threw it and it's important to note that it IS plastic, so the product description mentions it should NOT be ingested. The bone eventually does get worn down and she does "bite, then lick" the bone, but she doesn't seem to ingest the entire bone over time and isn't interested in the small, ant-sized pieces of the bone she's carved off with her teeth. However, over time, the bone does shrink and the edges do get very sharp, so be wary of that. It's not going to hurt anyone, but if you step on it or if it brushes you the wrong way, it could scratch you. Other than that, it's a cheap toy that lasts about a month or so for my dog–a dog that chews up most plush toys pretty quickly.

It's a SMALL nylabone that the puppy liked and chewed down somewhat. Time to throw it out and get a new one.
