Scottish Cottage is a late-blooming lavandin with a naturally tidy, upright habit and narrow, silver-toned foliage that stays attractive all season. Even out of bloom, the plant holds its shape well and brings a clean, structured look to the garden.
When it flowers, pointed spikes rise on medium-length stems, carrying violet-blue blooms with deep purple calyces. The color is rich without being heavy, and the fragrance is sweet and classic—present, but not overwhelming.
What makes Scottish Cottage especially useful is its timing. It blooms later than many lavenders, helping extend the season when earlier varieties are finishing. That makes it a strong choice for gardeners who want continued color, fragrance, and harvest potential later in summer.
It performs reliably in borders, herb gardens, and informal hedges, and the flowers work well for both fresh bouquets and dried use.
