white lily milk trinidad Crinum 'Milk & Wine' LilyMilk and Wine Crinum This is one of the first crinums to bloom every summer. If the early summer is cool, the 2 3 bloom spikes each bulb sends up will each look good for a couple weeks. This gives almost a month of white dark pink striped blooms larger than amaryllis blooms. Milk and Wine Crinum

This is one of the first crinums to bloom every summer. If the early summer is cool, the 2-3 bloom spikes each bulb sends up will each look good for a couple weeks. This gives almost a month of white dark pink striped blooms larger than amaryllis blooms.

On top of this, you don't need to worry about it dying (unless you spray Round Up on it), because it is one of the toughest bulbs in the garden! My former professor, Dr. Bill Welch once said, "No crinum in the South has ever died." The spicy blooms are usually triggered after a good rain. Foliage can be a little messy but maintains a nice appearance with a little grooming and some companion perennials such as Salvia sp., Phlox sp. and more.

There are several Crinums that are called "Milk and Wine" but we believe this one to be Crinum x herbertii. Once you have this flower, you have it for a lifetime and we are thrilled to offer it to you for your garden!

Size Approximate Bulb Size Bloom & Growth Notes
Small Small bulb All sizes will produce the same beautiful blooms — smaller bulbs simply take a bit longer to reach full size
Regular Baseball size or larger Will reach full size and begin multiplying sooner than small bulbs
Jumbo Softball size or larger The most mature bulb available — quickest to reach full size and multiply. These are serious bulbs — you could hurt someone with these!

Below you can see the three sizes. The regular one is in my hand.

This book is like crack to my 16 month old
Format: Board book
I bought this book as a gift for my friend's son, but when it arrived, my daughter saw it and wanted me to read it to her, so I did. Then again. Then again. Needless to say, I had to buy a second copy to send to my friend's son. It's been about a week, and my daughter is OBSESSED. There have been tantrums when we need to stop reading Some Bugs to do something else. It's by far her favorite book. The illustrations are so colorful and layered, there are so many things to look at. She loves pointing at the different bugs (her favorite ones are the hawk moth and the dog tick). The text has a great rhythm and is fun to read, I'm not tired of it yet after our hundredth reading. I highly recommend this gorgeous, fun book.

Perfect for learning about bugs!
Format: Board book
Purchased this because my kids class is learning about bugs. It is so cute, and both my kids my 3 year old and almost 2 year old love it! The pictures are so cute, and they really do go through each bug, making it educational. Such a fun book at a great price for 1-3 year olds.

Humor and Heart
Format: Kindle
Soccer superstar Sage needs a serious girlfriend to boost her image. Willa needs a plus one for her ex’s bachelorette party. When the two former high school classmates reconnect, they devise a plan to enter a fake relationship, but how long can it stay pretend? Never Mine has a fun and heartwarming fake romance plot, likable characters, and many laugh out loud scenes. Willa and Sage’s relationship is destined to be something special from the moment they reconnect at their high school reunion, but watching them finally figure that out for themselves is entertaining and delightful. Fans of great sapphic fauxmance with plenty of humor and heart will love Never Mine.

Gay but not out
Format: Kindle
At a time when five women of the US national soccer team are out, Sage Bryson is struggling. A star player, but out of the squad with injury, she stumbles into a secret attraction to a dorky zoo events co-ordinator. Willa. The feeling is mutual but lacks Sage's long term commitment. A series of some unusual, but amusing, situations draws them together. But commitment fears on both sides keeps them apart. Clever writing with some amusing one-liners, the story bumps along the 'will she, won't she' road, with occasional cliff hangers. A good read.
