Grown for it's spectacular foliage, the Hawaiian Punch Elephant Ear is the perfect plant to add to a tropical garden! Large, heart shaped green leaves sit atop bright red stems, creating an umbrella-like habit. Growing up to 3' tall, this is the perfect variety to plant in a pot to decorate a patio or deck. Elephant Ears love water and can tolerate moist to wet soil. They are also heavy feeders and thrive on regular fertilization during the growing season. Plant directly in the ground in zones 8 and above as a bedding plant or near ponds or streams. In colder climates, containers work best and can be taken outdoors in a sunny location in your yard and taken in during the colder Winter months to enjoy as a tropical houseplant! Elephant Ears are a staple in many tropical gardens. The Hawaiian Punch variety is perfect for a showy pop of color in your space and is the perect solution for smaller outdoor landscapes!
