south african pineapple plant Eucomis zambesiacaThis little known South African species of pineapple lily has proven to be one of our garden favorites. Making a 20" wide rosette of fleshy green leaves, Eucomis zambesiaca is topped in July with 12" tall pineapple like flower stalks of brilliant white stars. In flower, this is certainly the most stunning of the eucomis species.
